Challenge
The problem we walked into.
A 7,000 sq ft Lorne Park custom build — the Caldwell Estate — with the multi-zone HVAC, smart-home backbone, and layered service runs that come with a south-Mississauga estate. Neighbourhood Electrical wanted a permanent pre-drywall record on file before insulation closed every cavity, without slowing the drywall schedule.
Approach
How we scoped the scan.
A single scan technician documented the home in a pre-drywall window after rough-in inspections cleared. 201 scan positions across the main and upper floors, the mechanical room, and the basement rough-in — Premium-tier density at roughly 29 positions per 1,000 sq ft — working around active trades without displacement.
Outcome
What it changed for the builder.
Neighbourhood Electrical received a navigable 3D record of every wall cavity, mechanical run, and electrical termination before drywall closed. The hosted tour is the contractor's documentation asset for the life of the home, and the owner received a private branded share link at handoff.
A 7,000 sq ft custom home in Lorne Park, Mississauga — the Caldwell Estate — captured at pre-drywall density for Neighbourhood Electrical before insulation and drywall sealed every service run. 201 scan positions across the home, taken in the window after rough-in inspections cleared.
Project context
A Lorne Park new-build sized for the south-Mississauga market — main and upper floors plus a basement, with the multi-zone mechanical package and smart-home backbone typical of homes at this size. Neighbourhood Electrical commissioned a pre-drywall record of the project so the rough-in — electrical and otherwise — would stay permanently on file for warranty, future service, and owner reference.
What 201 positions covers on a 7,000 sq ft build
At roughly 29 scan positions per 1,000 sq ft, every wall cavity is captured from at least two angles, every mechanical termination is on the record, and every service run between framing members is visible — exactly the documentation density a contractor or warranty department will reference five years from now.
Scan coverage — every position on the build
The pattern of dots is the proof: every cavity covered from at least two angles, every junction visible, every service termination on the record before drywall closed the walls.
What the contractor uses it for
Trade reference during finishing, warranty defence after handoff, a clear “what’s behind that wall” answer for the owner, and a portfolio piece Neighbourhood Electrical can share with future custom-home clients.
